Kuopio RockCock 2011

RantalavaOh well here I am again drinking my “morning coffee“. Thinking what to write about this year Kuopio RockCock. When I think of this, I realize that I don’t have anything special to say. I’ve been there so many times in the past, so it’s hard to say anything that I’ve not said before. I think friday night top performer was W.A.S.P from USA. Saturday’s top performer in my opinion was Canadian rock band called Danko Jones. You can check out photos of this festival by clicking these links below. Thanks!

Sharetool 2 & Macbook Air

I recently purchased my first laptop (Macbook Air) When I’m on the road, I sometimes need to do some picture editing, and file transfers as my hobby of freelancer photographer. My Macbook Air is perfect for the job. It’s essential for me to have quick and secure access to my home computer from anywhere around the world. That’s why I tried to find a easy way to create secure access to my home network. I tested few VPN server programs that’s out there, but I didn’t find easy way to configure and set them up.

After a few hours of hassle I found very promising website (www.yazsoft.com) that had just the product I was looking for.  ShareTool 2 is exclusively for Mac OS X 10.5.8 and later, ShareTool is hands down, the fastest, easiest, and most secure way to access your Bonjour services from anywhere in the world.

With ShareTool, you would be able to:

  • encrypt all of your web traffic and route it through your home network.
  • browse the web securely,
  • listen to your entire home iTunes music library,
  • iTunes Home Sharing fully supported across the internet,
  • control the screen of any of your home computers,
  • grab that important file you forgot to bring with you,
  • connect to your FileMaker Pro database,
  • connect to your complete home iPhoto library,
  • print on your home network,
  • and a whole lot more.

I think the coolest extra feature in this product is that it allows me to access my home computer (iMac) iPhoto Library & iTunes music collection anywhere around the world. For more info go to the company website and check it out. I highly recommend this app for everyone!

Visiting Rome

All roads lead to Rome they say. Back in the days of the Roman Empire, everyone was to know that Rome was the center of all life. So there I was. Standing next to Colosseum and wondering the time of the ancient Rome. I had four days to explore the city. It was more than enough for me to visit all the popular sightseeing spots & places. Here’s few snap shot’s from my trip. All pictures taken with iPhone 4.

Turmion Kätilöt

I went to shoot photos at Turmion Kätilöt concert at the Kuopio’s Nuorisotalo 😀 That place sure brought some memories from the old days, when I was playing in band too. My new camera took subrisingly good photos on low light environment. Here’s few of my photos from that gig. Songs from the new album “Perstechnique” kick d ass. Like always if you need to have bigger print size photos. Contact me by email.

August Forest

Today evening, I felt like going outside to take a little walk to nearby forest. I also wanted to test my new Camera Body (Canon 50D) that arrived on Friday. Since I broke my old camera, it felt good to notice that the new 50D picture quality was surprisingly good. Here’s few August Forest photos I’d like to share. Click picture to see the gallery.

Jurassic Rock 2010

Two weeks after Kuopiorock festival, I found myself rocking at Jurassic Rock. Beginning of the festival, I had some misfortune because my camera body broke up oddly. It was very hard to take any pictures at all. I still managed to shoot some photos after removing my camera battery every now and then. My camera had this famous CANON “error 99” message on the screen. Click the picture to check out my festival photogallery.
